An Explanation
Who are we?
We are a group of independent Christians who gather to the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ in Ballywatermoy, Ballymena.
The Word of God
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God…” — 2 Timothy 3:16
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the final authority for what we believe and how we live.
The Triune God
“The LORD our God is one LORD.” — Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19
We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
The Lord Jesus Christ
“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.” — 1 Corinthians 15:3–4
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day.
Salvation
“For by grace are ye saved through faith…” — Ephesians 2:8–9
We believe salvation is entirely by the grace of God, received through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and not earned by our own works.
The Local Assembly
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” — Matthew 18:20
We believe the Lord desires His people to gather in His name, to remember Him, to pray, to learn from His Word and to proclaim the Gospel.
The Future
“I will come again, and receive you unto myself.” — John 14:3
We believe the Lord Jesus will return, the dead will be raised, and every person will face eternity, either in everlasting life or everlasting punishment.
The Holy Spirit
“Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you…” — 1 Corinthians 6:19
We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine Person who indwells every believer, guides us into truth and enables us to live for God.
